As if the Spanish Armada didn�t have enough big guns, here comes another one.
Nadal, who clocked up his 17th birthday just this month, is a baby-faced lefthander of impressive build who slugged his way into the headlines at the Monte Carlo Open in April with barely a backward glance at the satellite circuits where he had achieved impressive results - six Futures titles last year and four Challenger finals this season. �Rafi� as he is known back home by an already established fan club, came through qualifying in Monaco and then beat Slovakia�s Karol Kucera in the first round before ousting his compatriot and 2002 French Open Champion, Albert Costa. So having ended last year at 235 in the rankings, Nadal is now inside the top 100. No wonder his fellow Majorcan, Carlos Moya, who he beat sensationally in the Hamburg Masters Series last month, predicts top ten inside two years.
